Grambling, LA --- Mississippi Valley State’s Maura Moed was named to the Southwestern Athletic Conference volleyball all-conference team as announced by the SWAC’s media relations office.

Moed (5-9, So., MB, San Antonio, Tex.) led the conference in kills (319), points (391.5) and blocks (91).

Named to the SWAC all-eastern division team was Moed, Kantessa Bryant (5-6, So., OH, Dallas, Tex.), Shelby Thirsk (5-3, Fr., DS, Armore, Canada) and Chelsey White (5-6, Sr., S, Fort Smith, AR).  Thirsk was also named freshman of the year.

Junior outside hitter, Porsha Cummings (Birmingham, AL) was named to the SWAC all-academic team (3.36 GPA).
