Appointment Conditions:

Part-time (20-25 hrs per week)

Job Description:


Operate public transit bus safely and professionally; perform and properly complete daily pre-trip inspection; comply with policies as set forth by the University; participate in on-site and off-site training sessions; complete appropriate rider-ship data and other required project forms; maintain cleanliness of assigned transit vehicle


Qualifications Required:

The candidate must possess a valid Mississippi Drivers License, Type A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement; must have an excellent driving record as verified by the Mississippi Highway Patrol-MVR check; must have excellent oral and written communication skills; must pass required Department of Transportation physical examination and a pre-employment drug test, including complying with the project's approved Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy and Plan; must comply with the driver training requirements set forth by the Mississippi Department of Transportation Public Transit Division; must be a minimum of 21 years of age, and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
