Job Description:

Responsible for providing assistance and direction to students and faculty in accessing the library’s collections; provide instruction for the User Access Education Program; serve as outreach librarian to the Greenwood and Greenville Centers; maintain an up-to-date well balanced Reference and General Collection; coordinate and plan classes for library instruction for the main campus as well as the Greenwood and Greenville Centers; evening and weekend tour required with travel to the Greenwood and Greenville centers; supervises one full-time  and one part-time reference assistant  

Qualifications Required :

Required ALA-accredited Master of Library Science (MLS) degree; experience in reference services; demonstrated ability to establish goals and set reasonable periods for accomplishing tasks, ability to effectively meet deadlines; excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; knowledge of database portals, and information literacy issues; experience working within an academic setting; earned subject master’s degree in addition to MLS application
