Job Description:

 

The Head Women's Soccer Coach coordinates and plans all aspects of the assigned intercollegiate sport and works cooperatively with all personnel in maintaining a quality program within the policy framework of the University, NCAA, and Southwestern Athletic Conference; supervises arrangements for home and away competitions; encourages and promotes excellence in academics from student-athletes; coordinates and participates in public relations activities for the program; prepares and manages program budget.  Additional duties include on-the-field coaching during practice and competition; recruitment of quality student-athletes in accordance with NCAA sport minimums; game preparation; administration of operating budget; supervision of assistants or grad assistant; fundraising; promotional and public relations acitivities; speaking engagements and media interviews; knowledge of and compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations; direct and coordinate the planning, organizaing, and coaching of the Mississippi Valley State University women's soccer team; provides leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletse at Mississippi Valley State University; studies, evaluates and implements innovations in soccer strategy and equipment; and demonstrates professional integrity.

 

Qualifications Required :

Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred; a minimum of three (3) years of successful NCAA Division I soccer coaching experience, including advanced knowledge of the sport as a head coach or assistant coach with winning programs; ability to maintain a quality NCAA Division I program; demonstrated ability to recruit and retain student-athletes in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations; must have excellent supervisory and planning skills along with the ability to communicate effectively; must be customer service oriented and have the ability to work well  in a diverse environment.
