Job Description:


Review prior period and current adjustments to student accounts; coordinate with the Financial Aid Office for reconciliation of Title IV funds; reconcile student receivable ledger to general ledger; consult with students concerning account balances and payment plans; review and assign overdue accounts to collection agencies; mail account balance notices; review policy and procedures and recommend changes if applicable, assist with the preparation of annual GASB and related financial statements; supervise student receivables personnel; overseeing collections staff; addressing day-today administrative and operational challenges and providing effective solutions to achieve best possible results; developing, implementing, and evaluating current and new strategies and systems for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of collections; ensures that delinquency levels are within the university’s guidelines; enhances collection strategies and procedures to increase recoveries  


Qualifications Required :

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; ability to multi-task; proficiency working with accounting systems and office systems such as Microsoft Office, must be detailed oriented and possess the ability to produce accurate and timely results; knowledge of bookkeeping and recordkeeping is required
