James Washburn serves as Vice President for Business and Finance / Chief Financial Officer at Mississippi Valley State University. His professional career spans 40 years.
He has served most of his career as the Chief Financial Officer of various higher education institutions in both the public and private sector.
Mr. Washburn earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Alabama and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
In addition to his professional career, Mr. Washburn enjoys playing guitar and acting in amateur theater.
Mr. Washburn and his wife, Lois have three children – Robert, Teresa, and Sandra.
