Mississippi Valley State University welcomes high school students and their parents to its Spring Open House on Saturday, February 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held in the Business Education Building auditorium on the Itta Bena campus.
“We invite students to come discover our rigorous academic programs and explore our vibrant campus community and student life,” said Jacqueline Williams, director of Admissions and Enrollment.
“As a student at MVSU, each individual can become a leader and make a difference not only at The Valley but in his or her community and indeed, the world,” Williams said.
Students attending the Open House on Saturday will check in at the Business Education Building and enjoy a continental breakfast.
Break-out sessions include students visiting the respective MVSU academic departments to learn more about their intended majors. Parents will have “homeroom” sessions.
Beginning at noon, students and parents can meet with officials from the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid for any questions regarding the enrollment process or applying for FASFA and other financial aid issues.
The first 100 attendees will receive a free ticket to the MVSU v. Alcorn basketball game.
All visitors will enter through the main campus entrance from U.S. Highway 82 West and park in the Business Education Building parking lot. Parking for Saturday’s event is free.
If you need special accommodations or have any questions about physical access or need additional information regarding the program, please contact the Office of Admissions & Recruitment in advance of your visit at 662. 254.3347.
