ACCUPLACER (Computerized Placement Tests)

ACCUPLACER is an assessment tool used to identify students academic strengths and needs to assist in planning and appropriate schedule of course work at Mississippi Valley State University.

The ACCUPLACER is comprised of an elementary algebra test, a sentence skills test and a reading test taken on the computer. Results are available upon completion of the test. Through the admissions office, a student can schedule an ACCUPLACER test during the spring semester prior to freshman enrollment. If the applicant meets certain criteria on the ACCUPLACER test, he/she is admitted to Mississippi Valley State University.  If the criteria are not met, the applicant may attend the SDP.

ACCUPLACER is administered from February through May and may be taken at anyone of the eight public universities in Mississippi. The dates and times are available on the brochures.
